ELIGIBILITY: The “STUDENT CENTER BOARD OF ADVISORS’ WINTER VIRTUAL SCAVENGER HUNT” is open to UCI students only with a valid UCInetID. Must be 18 or over to play. Opportunity ends 11:59 p.m., March 5, 2021. Members of the Student Center Board of Advisors are not eligible to win.
There are four (4) ways to play:
- Participants who submit an eligible Daily Mystery Item automatically qualify for one Daily Prize and one Grand Prize entry;
- Participants who submit an eligible Daily Mystery Item each day between March 1 and March 5, 2021 qualify for a Grand Prize entry;
- Participants who submit an original drawing of an anteater as a Bonus Play item qualify for a Grand Prize entry;
- Participants who follow @ucistudentcenter on Instagram and submit their Instagram handle as a Bonus Play item qualify for a Grand Prize entry.
Each participant may accumulate up to eight (8) entries for the Grand Prize.
Original photos and artwork only. By submitting a photo or drawing for consideration in the “STUDENT CENTER BOARD OF ADVISORS’ WINTER VIRTUAL SCAVENGER HUNT,” participant agrees to take full responsibility for copyright ownership. Moreover, participant authorizes the Regents of the University of California on behalf of its Irvine Campus (UC Irvine) to use the intellectual property that results from the event scheduled to run from March 1 to March 5, 2021 for use by Student Center and Student Center Board of Advisors for publicity purposes.
TO ENTER (Daily Mystery Item Online): One (1) new Mystery Item will be published at midnight and expires at 11:59 p.m. each day between March 1 and March 5, 2021. Submit original photo of the Mystery Item for that day online at www.studentcenter.uci.edu/home/student-center-board-of-advisors/winter-virtual-scavenger-hunt between midnight and 11:59 p.m. Limit one entry per day per participant. Each eligible submission is automatically entered into the Daily Prize and Grand Prize. Play all five days for an additional entry into the Grand Prize. Or, email submission to Maggie Heimann at mheimann@uci.edu and include "Mystery Item" in the subject line. Include your name and UCI email address in the body of the email. Attach original photo of that day’s Mystery Item found on www.studentcenter.uci.edu/home/student-center-board-of-advisors/winter-virtual-scavenger-hunt. Email submissions must be received before the Daily Mystery Item expires.
TO ENTER (Bonus Play Online): Two (2) Bonus Play options will be available for the duration of the contest and can be submitted at any time beginning midnight on March 1 and before 11:59 p.m. on March 5, 2021. For Bonus Play Option 1, submit an original drawing of an anteater to the Bonus Play form found at www.studentcenter.uci.edu/home/student-center-board-of-advisors/winter-virtual-scavenger-hunt any time after midnight March 1 and before 11:59 p.m. March 5, 2021. For Bonus Play Option 2, follow @ucistudentcenter on Instagram and submit your Instagram handle using the Bonus Play form found at www.studentcenter.uci.edu/home/student-center-board-of-advisors/winter-virtual-scavenger-hunt any time after midnight March 1 and before 11:59 p.m. March 5, 2021. Limit one of each Bonus Play options per person. Each eligible Bonus Play option submitted online counts as one entry into the Grand Prize. Or, email Bonus Play submission to Maggie Heimann at mheimann@uci.edu and include “Bonus Play” in the subject line. For Bonus Play Option 1, include your name, UCI email address, and attach an original drawing of an anteater. PDF, JPEG, or PNG file format not exceeding 10MB is preferred. For Bonus Play Option 2, follow @ucistudentcenter on Instagram and include your Instagram handle in the body of the email. Each eligible Bonus Play option submitted by email counts as one entry into the Grand Prize.
WINNER SELECTION AND NOTIFICATION: One (1) Mystery Item Daily Prize winner will be selected at random each business day beginning March 2 and ending March 8, 2021 from among all eligible entries. Limit one Mystery Item submission per person per day. A Daily Prize winner may submit each day for a chance at the Grand Prize but will not be eligible for additional Daily Prizes. Repeat Daily Prize winners are not allowed. Winners will be notified no later than March 8, 2021 via the UCI email address they have provided.
One (1) Grand Prize winner will be selected at random from among all eligible entries no later than March 12, 2021. Winner will be notified via the UCI email address they have provided.
PRIZES: One (1) Grand Prize $75 eGift Card to The Hill. Five (5) Daily Prizes $25 eGift Card to The Hill.
ODDS OF WINNING: Varies based on the total number of eligible submissions received.
